donkey

and possum

that you come across

if they let you

listen to music

with banjos

and tambourines

so loud

your neighbor

comes over

just to ask

“what was that song with the banjo?”

and you

stomp and holler and sing it together

howling on the rooftop

with the guy that smelled like vinegar

and asshole

singing it

too

read a book

about the history of mustard

about a time traveling optometrist

about what it is like to be someone

other than yourself

about

what it is like to be like these words

surrounded by all white

if you really want to change the world

just

find what you love

and who you love

and

love

don’t kill yourself

trying to change the world
